Houston, Texas-based Zoyto is a leading Business Process Outsourcing provider offering a broad array of customer care and fulfillment solutions – including customer service, help desk and technical support, in-bound and out-bound telemarketing, supply chain management, coupons and rebates management, as well as e-fulfillment and software development.

Business Challenge:

Design a social networking site as an additional product to the suite of Direct Sales management tools. Allow client management staff to manage all aspects of their site including reporting statistics, corporate blog entries, welcome banners, manage documents, and silence problematic users. Users will be able to post status updates with image or YouTube attachments, blog entries, connection management, and upload documents to the document library.

Solution:

Visual Studio.NET was used to develop the site on IIS and SQL Server. Single Sign-On Authentication was integrated with the master client database using XML Web Services. The Direct Sales market has unique challenges relating to genealogy, each client has different requirements for suggested connections and automatic connections so each client site has its own rules. A single codebase runs all client sites so updates and bug fixes are rolled out to all clients at once.

Results:

Zoyto's clients now have a private, members only social networking site to share sales and marketing information, post blogs, manage documents, and post status updates along with the ability to cross-post to Facebook and Twitter. An RSS feed is also available.
